Calculator For Paying Off Debt
Getting rid of debt is something we all want, but sometimes seeing a visual progress helps to keep you motivated.
Credit Card debt, can be some of the worse debt, as you have nothing to show for it, as the purchase is usually long gone, and now you are stuck in a treadmill trying to pay it off with the higher interest rates.
If this is you, then you know how frustrating it can be. If you can contact your credit card provider and ask them to give you a break on the interest rate, you can see by the chart above the difference it will make in how fast you can get rid of the debt.
It can also show you just how good a deal your purchases were... NOT! If you have to pay interest on your card then any purchase that gets charged to this card will start right from day one costing you the preset interest rate.
I find by having a visual chart you can create a plan and stick to it, or learn how to make a budget plan that works well for you.

Interest rates on credit cards are a budget killer!
Getting the interest rate down, by either contacting the credit card provider or transferring your balance to a lower rate credit card are two ways to try and get it lowered. Then attack your every day budget and see if you can shave a few expenses and then set that money aside for extra payments on these cards. You could start with the smallest one, just so you can see a balance paid off. Write down your plan, and then show the balance coming down, or use the calculator for paying off debt weekly above. |
